Sil680 ATA controller card


When the installation of either of the distributions I have (Mandrake and Aurox) reaches the definition of the disk partitions (one 40 gb disk on each IDE port of the controller card), it displays an error message and wreaks havoc in the partition table...

Silicon Image did not reply to my e-mail. Their last BIOS update for this product fixed some problems but not all (it is still incompatible with the motherboard's native IDE ports).

Is there a known way to fix this problem ?
