Should i install the zd1201 driver for usb wireless lan?

Hi. my friend gave me this usb adapter. It is the one pictured here:
http://www.jaht.com/products/wlan/wn1011u.htm

I found out which driver i need for it but some messages in dmesg confuse me as to whether the driver is already installed for it. here is what i mean.

usb 1-2: Failed to load zd1201.fw firmware file!
usb 1-2: zd1201 firmware upload failed: -2
zd1201: probe of 1-2:1.0 failed with error -2
usbcore: registered new driver zd1201

what exactly does that mean? Do i need to mess with installing the driver? Or do i need to configure it using Yast? Im using Suse 10.0. What should be my next step? Any help would be appreciated in advance.

well my dad gave me a netgear usb wireless adaptor that came with our router that i didn't know we had. So if i have too much of a problem with the first one i'll try the netgear one.

ok i found out that it is easy to configure the adapter through yast. The problem is that i don't know exactly what im configuring. Fairly new to wireless and internet configuring in general. I tried taking out the cat5 to see if i could surf the internet with the adapter but it was a no go. I have a wireless router - how do i make it so it will search for that router and connect up to it? Also slightly off topic but i have a related question - what time of command tools are their for dealing with wireless configuration and what not. Thanks for any help in advance.
