Share output from ttyS0

Hello,

Here's the setup: We have an embedded processor prototype board on which we run code as it's developed. This has a UART output connected to a host PC, so we can view printf from our embedded code.

Currently I use cat /dev/ttyS0 to see the output. However, this means that only 1 user at a time can see the output. If multiple people log in and cat /dev/ttyS0, the printf messages get garbled, and we end up arguing...

Similar problems occur using terminal emulators, such as minicom, kermit, or gtkterm, though these generally lock the device. This doesn't stop someone else using cat.

Is there some way we can all connect to /dev/ttyS0 at the same time, and see all the output?

Thanks,
Martin
