setting up ALSA on INTELP4 with HDA
 

i need some help getting sound on my system....i have gentoo-r9 on an INTEL915PBL with HDA. On the Intel site it had a diver for Intel for SUSE9.1.. I tried to install this driver but it would not install ...keep getting make error whn i run ./build.sh azx_alc880....then i recompiled my kernel with ALSA support and tried to follow the GENTOO Linux Alsa Guide...but ALSA only has module for snd-intel8x0....will this wrk with my board?..should i try to install it?

any suggestions would be appreciated!
