I don't know if this helps or not, but you can go to... http://www.whatismyip.com and it will show you what your IP is. However, this will only show the apparent IP you're browsing from. So if you're behind a router, then it will only show the IP of the router and not the ip of your specific box. If you need to know the specific IP of your box, you shoudl be able to go to /etc/hosts and see if the IP is listed in there.

Unhappy sbin folder

Hello,

I don't know if my server is connected to a router ?
How can I find that out ?

I looked at my root directories on my server and this is what it looks like:

.gconf
.gnome2
.kde
.gconfd
.gnome2_private
.metacity
.gnome
.gnome_desktop
.nautilus

Any ideas where could the sbin sub-folder be located?

Regards,

PT
