Serial Printer in Debian Sarge


Hi,

I have to install a serial printer on a debian box and I don't have clue of how to do it, can you please give me a hand with this?

It would help if you told us what printer...

Thsnxks a lot for answer my question. I am using linux debian sarge stable and printer model is Epson TM 200 AF,Thanks againa : )

I'm not finding your printer on Google. Is there a different model number written on the printer somewhere (next to the serial number?)

From google, it looks like your printer may not be supported very well. But there's a little bit of hope that you can print some stuff from c programs. Check out this link: http://www.linuxprinting.org/epson-faq.html#q_2_1

I could not find any info on the exact model. IS this a Point Of Sale or a special receipt printer? If so then special drivers should not be required.

Are you using cups?
