Serial device name under Redhat EL3
I'm having trouble installing a ups monitoring agent on our HP DL380 G4 box. It requires a cable plugged into the one and only serial port on the box (we have the cable), and the agent monitors the ups status via the serial port.
The problem I have is that I don't have any idea of the device name for the serial port. We have Redhat Enterprise Linux 3 on our machine, but I haven't had any luck finding out how to determine what the serial port is called, as I have to enter this information into the agent's configuration. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated! |
Its
/dev/ttyS0 /dev/ttyS1 ..etc |
Thanks...ttyS0 seems to have been the solution!
