 Im so confused, I have tried moving partitions so that the boot is a primary partition instead of extended and I have noticed it hangs right after the partition check on the extended, any input at all anyone, I have tried looking it up over the net nothing. not many people seem to be using raid and have my simular problem. RAID is working cause in rescue mode when I use my boot raid drivers disk i cna mount all my drives so im not sure what its doing anything at all any suggestion thanks

If I add "acpi=off" to my boot option when booting it boots fine no issue

but what does this do "acpi=off"?

I have had a similiar issue i have an ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe motherboard and it supports Serial ATA w/ RAID 0. I loaded XP and proceeded to load Gentoo, then Grub as the boot loader. recieved NO love from XP, stated i was missing HAL.dll. Eventually i gave up and tried loading just XP, now i get a hardare error after i install and XP tries to boot. Can you dual boot stripped drives (Raid0)?
