screen with yellow filter ->hw failure?

Over the last couple of days my screen has occasionally darkened slightly as if a yellow filter were applied. As of today this is the standard way I see my screen and now I get the occasional glimps of the real, brighter thing.

I was wondering what could be the cause of this problem. I've discarde the Screen itself as I have 2 pc hooked up to it through a kvm switch and the other one is just fine.

I'm afraid it might be my video card, but would like to know if there is a way to make sure as the other box has an on-board video card and so I can't swap it.

Finally there's a very small chance it might be either the driver (nvidia) or the low latency kernel (from planetccrma), but I really doubt that.

Any other thoughts or ideas on how to make sure what is happening?
Has anyone had the same problem before?

Obvious question, but i have to ask (apologies if you've already tried it).

What about the kvm cables going from the pcs to kvm switch have you tried switching them over? Sounds like you've got a problem with your blue colour signal.

You might be right! I've noticed that the 'filter' often appears or disappears when switching PCs which made me think... I'll try it out immediately. If that's the problem, are there any easy repairs, or will I have to get another switch?
