Screen Size Unchangeable

Hi All. I have installed Red Hat 9.0 two times. Each time the logon panel is too big and Welcome is over layed by the words Red Hat. The tool bar is also too wide and the time is missing. When I logon the icons are too big and I can only see 60% of the panels (for example the Date panel is only half visible so I can't hit the buttons). I have a Dell PC M992 with Intel 865. Even changing the resolution and rebooting changes nothing. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Have you tried Ctrl+Alt+<keypad +> or Ctrl+Alt+<keypad -> This should change you resolution. If you have a laptop it might not work becuiase of the keyboard mappings.
