Screen possition different in Windows or Linux

I have a HYUNDAI SYNCMASTER 920N.
And using resolution 1280x1024 both in windows and linux.

But the problem is that when I go to linux I must press the AUTO on the monitor so the screen gets realigned. And when booting back to windows I must do the same!

Is there a way I can have the screen position the same in Win and UBUNTU DAPPER Linux?

Cause you don't have a correct driver installed in one of them. Probably in Ubuntu.
Thats not your monitor is your video card.

found solution here:
http://doc.gwos.org/index.php/ChangeResolution

But I still don't understand why the screen has different possitions in Win and Linux since in LINUX it was 100% properly set up and in windows I have supplied SAMSUNG drivers installed
