Hey all,
We use Fedora on workstations at work (small business), but the application we use (claims manager) runs on Server 2003 through Remote Desktop.
My question is, is there a way to use the flatbed scanner connected to the Linux workstation over RDP in the Windows application running on the Windows server?
The scanner in question is a Canon CanoScan LiDE 200, which has "Complete" support according to the SANE database:
http://www.sane-project.org/sane-mfgs.html#Z-CANON
I don't know where to start with this to be honest, like for instance I know how to share a printer attached to a Linux machine with Windows machines, but scanner I don't know.
Help is very appreciated.
[EDIT]
The "sharing" protocol doesn't have to be RDP. Anything goes, as long as it lets the Windows application have access to the scanner connected to the Linux machine.
