Scanner and kernel 2.6
I just updated to Fedora 2 B, 2.6 .... kernel. Now I can't get my scanner Epson Perfection 660 to work. It worked ok under 2.4. Now the kernel is without modules, so I hear. I've read some info from mostang.com/sane, but haven't got it working yet
scanimage -L gives device libusb:003:004
sane-find-scanner finds it too.
In /etc/snapscan.conf I have device set to /dev/usb/scanner0 bus=usb, the old setting that worked before.
In desperation I tried setting dev= libusb:003:004, to no avail.
From what I read this could be a permissions thing in /proc/usb/003 or so but even root can't scan.
If I start Kooka it recognizes Epson 660, but then says, no scanner is configured!
My other scanner HP Multifunction Office Jet works fine, but didn't before.
Any tips out there?
Got a shock this morning when LQ was down. Thought Dark Bill had got you!!
