SBLIVE 5.1 Slackware full duplex

hey,

Im sure there are alot of people with this same problem as I have noticed on alot of forums with alot of no responses due to a lack of information by the poster. I will attempt to get an answer here in this thread

system:
1.2ghz athlon
ausus a7a266
768mb ddr
gf 4 mx 440 64mb ddr
sb live 5.1 digital
slackware 9.1

Want to have FULL DUPLEX working in kde 3.1.

PROBLEM:
Music has to stop before mic record can work. When enabled FULL DUPLEX mic record does not work, only playback does.

I have had alsa working until i updated it with swaret and now alsa(.98) can not find /dev/dsp although when i look for it it is there. OSS works.
when i lsmod this is what i get while im in kde:

Module Size Used by Tainted: P
emu10k1 57096 1
sound 55636 0 [emu10k1]
ac97_codec 12296 0 [emu10k1]

nvidia 1968064 14 (autoclean)
keybdev 1952 0 (unused)
mousedev 4244 1
hid 21156 0 (unused)
usbmouse 2008 0 (unused)

usbcore 58400 1 [hid usbmouse usb-ohci]
emu10k1-gp 1352 0 (unused)
gameport 1452 0 [emu10k1-gp]

mii 2304 0 [8139too]
crc32 2880 0 [8139too]
ide-scsi 9424 0
agpgart 39576 3

even if you can not help me specifically maybe someone knows how to get full duplex working from a fresh install of slackware would be most helpful to alot of people

If you need anymore information don't hesitate to ask

Thanks in advance!
