SATA RAID on Fedora Core 2

I am trying to install Fedora Core 2 on my SATA as a RAID0 array.

First I am unable to recognize the two drives as a raid aray before installation. I think I installed "/" on one and /boot on other. (This was the suggested partition by Fedora Core 2 and I used the same). I installed Fedora. When I reboot my computer, my GRUB hangs there without anything happening.

I used disk1 and logged in by typing: linux rescue at boot:

I am not sure if I am doing anything wrong in setting up these SATA hard drives.

I am connecting these 2 SATA drives directly onto the motherboard of a P4G8X mobo.

I have SiI3112 controller on the motherboard where I am connecting these hard drives.

I shall really appreciate your help.

Thanks,
Phani.

Heya,

I have the same setup and I have a Promise 150 controller.

I was about to upgrade my setup, but when I checked my partition setup with Druid, both of the harddrives showed up... I figured that the kernel wasn't configured for *hardware* raid, or at least the driver module for my controller didn't fully support hardware raid0.

Lemme know if you've resolved your problem. I'm going to try upgrading today... Maybe I'll get a different setup =P

See ya,
Paul
