SATA format problem

I have Promise SATA TX2 plus, with 2 Western Digital 36 GB SATA hard drives attached to it. (raptors)

I followed the installation guide fine to make an array (mirroring the 2 hard drives into one).

After that, im suppose to use FDISK "normally" to format the 2 hard drives.
This is where my problem comes in.

I boot up a linux CD and type "fdisk", but where are my 2 SATA hard drives located? I have no idea.

I tried /dev/hda , /dev/hdb , /dev/hdc , /dev/sda , /dev/sde
/dev/rd/c0d0 and anything else that fdisk suggests.

all of them don't work. Where are they?

NOTE: I popped in WIN XP to see if it would detect the raid drivers, and it too did not recognize them.

When I boot up, the bios recognizes both raid hard drives and displays "FUNCTIONAL" for the mirroring array.

Have I done something wrong, or can someone just tell me where to FDISK them?

Idk if it's any help to you, but I've had a hell of a time getting my TX2Plus controller working properly with linux. So far, I've tried varoius mandrake and Redhat (Want to try Gentoo, but need someone to help me get that set up), and so far, only Fedora core 2 test 1 and Redhat 9 have worked right for me.
