SATA drives: Should I bother?

I'm looking to setup a VERY basic server system. I've been leaning towards using Ubuntu.

I was thinking of using software RAID 1 and two SATA drives connected directly to a SOLTEK 75FRN2-L motherboard.

I've been searching for a while and I can't seem to determine whether this is a bad idea? Should I just cut my losses and go with ata-133 drives?

Support for SATA is still ever-so-slightly buggy under Linux, IMHO...

SATA works fine.
Raid and sata work fine.
Check the hardware compatibilty list for your hardware/distro.
