sata dmesg error

I have this error in dmesg.
take a look at "ata7" aka.. my dvd drive.
I have made it work by editing fstab,
(I used {/dev/scd0 . /dvd . auto . auto,rw,user,exec,sync . 0.0})
but all the extra stuff fedora sticks in such as the cd icon on desktop, ejecting the disk at all, automount, etc...

ata7 changes from udma66 about a hundred times, hence the reason I haven't posted the entire dmesg. finally it reaches this point and ends.

now I simply dont understand the jargon here for the most part, which is why I'm asking for help to understand this problem, what is this problem (how do I find out/fix it?) if you need more info, just ask.

will try that

I will try to see if plextor has an update for my Sata dvd burner, although I believe it is up-to-date. perhaps Fedora is running a few versions behind on libata, so I'll check that too. I'm also looking for a good tutorial on how linux interacts with the hardware layer, without being to overtly technicle. so if you know anything lemme know.

libata come with the kernel... Fedora is normally one of the most updated distro! If you really want to have the lastest libata try to compile kernel 2.6.19.1 If you need help to compile a new kernel just tell me!
