SATA controler and Dell OptiPlex 745
 
We are trying to install Slackware 12.0 on a Dell OptiPlex 745C Ultra Small Form Factor with Core2 2.4Ghz.We are facing issues with the hard drive performance (horrible!). Anyone has an idea of the controller installed? What would be the appropriate Linux Kernel driver to use?

I have opensuse 10.2 (kernel 2.6.18.2) and things are OK.

We figure it out. The kernel driver that were in charge of the SATA controller was compiled as a moduled (not good) making it part of the kernel solved the issue.
