Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Question S3 Savage 4 Performance

I have been using windows and linux on my machine for quite some time. Now, I have a chance to move to linux completely. An issue in doing so is the gaming part-

I have S3 Savage 4 AGP card. In the installation of fedora core, it was detected automatically. The XF86 config also loads modues "dri" and "glx". Later I found that there is no support of dri on this card, hence I removed those lines from XF86Config. When I try to play tuxracer that comes with fedora core, Screen refreshes at approx 1FPS.

Is there any way that I can play games on Savage 4 in liunx? (Even reasonable improvement in FPS will help)

TIA,
PYM

Not sure, but I did find this S3 Savage support page which might help you get things going.
