S.M.A.R.T show me such error

hi all,

here is the small office with a P4 as the network file server.

my network drive is failed and all the user cannot access thier home directory cause the home directory is software raid 1 both SATA harddisk

then i check the log file i found the error log from SMART as below
##### smart log ###########
Dec 5 16:36:32 mvy-skyline smartd[3389]: Device: /dev/sdb, SMART Prefailure Attribute: 1 Raw_Read_Error_Rate changed from 117 to 110
Dec 5 16:36:32 mvy-skyline smartd[3389]: Device: /dev/sdb, SMART Usage Attribute: 190 Temperature_Celsius changed from 59 to 58
Dec 5 16:36:32 mvy-skyline smartd[3389]: Device: /dev/sdb, SMART Usage Attribute: 194 Temperature_Celsius changed from 41 to 42
Dec 5 1
############# end of smart log

then i open the case and i used my hand to touch the both sata drive. it is not HOT at all.

so, i suspect not the problem from temperature.

anyone have such experience ??

...or the daemon's not running...
don't worry, I didn't think of checking either.
this sort of thing is why helpdesk techs start with "have you switched the computer on?"
