S.M.A.R.T. Monitoring on Mylex 170 RAID Card

Greetings,

I am having trouble finding software for linux, that can access s.m.a.r.t. information on scsi disks attached to Mylex 170LP RAID Card. I've tried several applications that are part of debian project, however none of them support this particular hardware. I cannot find any software that can read s.m.a.r.t. from any scsi raid cards. Only some (S)ATA raid cards.

Google hasn't been much of a help either :-|

Hi lexterm,

what tools have you tried? What do you want to monitor?

If you only need the tempratures, try hddtemp. It comes along with the Debian distri.

I have tried hddtemp, it does not support reading temperature off scsi disks attached to mylex raid cards using dac960 driver.
I also tried smartmontools, no luck.
