Question Running Debian Linux on external harddrive

Hi,

I'm thinking of buying a external USB harddrive to run Debian on. Will I be able to start my computer off an external USB harddrive?

Yes, it should be possible (even to run a laptop in that way). I know someone did, but said it was much work, and that was a Debian expert, nearly. Try to find somebody that has carried that out, with about the same hardware...
