RME 9652 card on cloned pc - wont run
Hi, I have a problem with a RME hdsp 9652/ suse setup. I have one pc and DSP app (that we have written), and it is currently running with no problems, using the 9652 and the ADI-8 interface. I wanted to clone the entire setup, so I bought another of the exact same pc and ghosted the hard drive to it. So far so good, it seems to run fine. I bought another 9652 PCI card, and installed it. So, right now the card is not recognized on the new pc. When I try to open HDSPconf or HDSPmixer, I get error saying there's no card precsent. Similarly in Yast. I tried running ALSAconf and /sbin/modprobe snd-hdsp, but it still doesn't work.
The cards on both pcs are installed in the same slots.
Is there a problem with the PCI card being a different physical card than the first one?
The old card was firnware-updated around a year ago. The new card I have not updated yet. I had assumed that the firmware on the new card would be at least as current as the old card.
I am running Suse 9.1.
Any help appreciated.
