Ricoh Aficio GX2500 gelsprinter

Hi

Can anyone say if they have had any success with using this printer in Linux? I understand that the printer sold in USA has PCL support but that here in the UK it uses RPCS raster which seems not to have Linux support.

Although having used Linux since about Mandrake 9.1 (now on Ubuntu 9.04 Gnome and Mandriva One 2010), I have never before posted to a forum - so please forgive any howling errors in this thread, and believe me when I say that any advice you can give me on this matter will be much appreciated.

I fear you are SOL with this.
No mention of it here:

and linuxprinting.org has no information for the specific model but has a Paperweight rating for the GX3000

Just to get around this note, I have also a RICOH Aficio GX 2500 gel printer and, as per the official and definitive response from the support, it is NOT supported under linux :

Unix and Linux are not supported platforms for this model. Only current MS Windows and Apple Mac OS X operating systems are supported.

Sigh. I suppose there ain't other ways to get it work then...
