rhythmbox segfaults when playing song

Hi

I've just been trying to get ryhtmbox to work on FC3. No sound, just segfaults whenever I want to play a song. Fooling around with the gstreamer properties didn't help, not one sink is working. (Sound works fine with every app that uses Alsa directly, e.g. mplayer, totem-xine, xmms etc.) esd won't work either, I suspect there are problems with the clocking since sounds are played too fast and there's a lot of crackling.

Is there a solution to this problem? Or should I just scrap the whole gstreamer stuff along with its apps? I have to say that I'm VERY disappointed in that piece of software. The overly complicated and bloated gstreamer framework behind rhythmbox is awful, IMHO. I mean I turned on the debug output and was thinking "Yeah, right, that helps a lot." Hundreds of pages of debug info from gstreamer is more than just impractical for debugging purposes...

Code:

FYI: FC3 for x86_64 with an Athlon on an NForce4 chipset.
