RH 9 & RCA Cable Modem
I have successfully installed Red Hat 9 but I cannot figure out how to get my cable modem to work. I am new Linux and am proficient in Windows. Is there something like the Device Manager for Linux. Red Hat 9 ISO 3 has a driver folder for the Thompson/RCA cable modem RC245 but I need to figure out how to install it.
Also, I installed everything from Red Hat 9 to to try everything out. My current system has an AMD XP 1800 w/256MB of memory and Red Hat 9 seemed to run slower than XP Pro. Is it running slow because I installed everything or ...? I was wondering if RH 9 desktop will run on an old machine that I have. The machine is configured with a Pentium 120Mhz and 16MB memory of memory. Thanx in advance for your help :Pengy: |
