Replacing Harddrive

I'm replacing my 20 gig laptop harddrive with a 40 gig.

I plan to restore my slackware system onto the new drive from my backups. I was just wondering, given that the partition labels remain the same if there are any other configurations I might have to worry about.

I figured maybe some re-tweaking of my hdparm settings, but that's all I can think of at the moment.

As always, thanks for everyone's time and help.

dont forget that you will need to reinstall a boot loader. thats the most interesting part. i canged my 10 gig HD to a 120 one, ant that was the problem I worried about mostly...

if you have some rescue disc (cd) you wont have much problems.
