Regarding RAID configurartion


HI all
can anyone let me know how to determine number of physical disks in a RAID configured system in linux?
Also can we use badblocks program on a disk which is configured as a Mirror in the RAID configuration.

if this is md raid, then just do "cat /proc/mdstat"
