hello!
i've now installed red hat 9 on all the sytems in my house (replacing windoze ) except on my new system - which i'm attempting now. problem is it won't install

Redhat 9 detects everything and runs down the hardware list until it gets to:
IDE0:something..
IDE1:something..

then it just hangs! i've never encountered this before- what steps should i take? and else what do i need to tell you guys so you can better help me?

In the Installation Manual, Red Hat describes what information is being gathered on the other consoles during the installation process and how to access it. One of them will tell you what the hangup is. If you don't have the installation manual, you can download it from Red Hat's website.
