Recommend a good PCI USB card?

My system only has 2 USB slots in the back, and since I have 2 USB storage devices, a USB digital camera, a webcam, and probally more to come... this just isn't enough.

What makes this worse, is that the computer is on the floor, trapped between the TV and the desk... so getting behind there (and seeing behind there) is a major problem.

I was going to order a PCI USB card from Dlink, but I google'd it, and saw that people had problems with it crashing their system.

Could anyone reccommend a PCI USB card that will work with Linux? (I use the 2.6.8 kernel, on Ubuntu Linux).

I'm looking for a USB 2.0 one (needs to have atleast one internal USB slot as well please), and is hopefully under $20. In the $30s would be fine too, I suppose. ^_^

If you could, please supply a link!

Any other information that would be useful would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Also curious

I've been wondering about the same question, but I'm not sure it's very well known. Someone'll just have to get brave or something. I've got a 150 Mhz Pentium just sitting around, and I'm trying to get this abomination of an internet connection (DIRECWAY 4000 or something, it's usb) to work under linux. I hope to sometime soon make the oldy into a router so it can do something useful for a change, and free up some precious memory from the "DIRECWAY Navigator". Well, if anybody's got some links or any other sort of educated guess, I'm sure myself and Termina could make good use of it.

P.S. 110 some views, hmm.
