reading hard driver partition information

Hello,
I am phguna.
I have a problem with my hard driver which has data it.
My previous linux system was RedHat enterprise version 3. Then I tried to upgrade the system to version 4 of enterprise.
Computer has two hard drives. One for system and other for data. When I do the upgrade, it installed the version 4 in the first disk and now I can't read the data in the second disk.

Is there any way to get this data on the second disk recovered without deleting data on it?

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you,

Phguna

has the upgrade destroyed the partition, or has it just removed the entry from /etc/fstab ?

Thank for the reply.
When we upgrade we lost the partition table. But data is still there. We need to recover the partition table and recover the data.

How did you determine this ???.
It may be that the partition table is fine, and you are merely unable to mount those partitions - fstab and/or label issues maybe.
