ok i am new to linux so please be gentle,

I am running redhat 9 and I ahve a ps/2 usb optic mouse I think its the usb port but don't know the mouse has no power whatsoever

I am running that on a compaq notebook if that helps at all

I don't understand, can you give more information on the problems you are getting.

well I tried t use mouseconfig command and nuthin doin I have tried almost every mouse

thats why I think its the usb port......I don't know how to troubleshoot that one

is there a way to check the driver or a palce to get a new one?

any help is GREAT!!!
