RCA Lyra

I checked out two threads:

Cannot mount RCA lyra 64 mb on Mdk 9.1

Trying to mount USB MP3 storage key (128Mb)

I can get my multimedia card to mount, but I can't get the Lyra to mount.

I tried:

mount /dev/sda1 usb -t vfat -rw

mount /dev/sda1 usb -t vfat

mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 usb

I get this error:

mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sda1,
missing codepage or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so

I tried dmesg | tail:

FAT: bogus logical sector size 1818
VFS: Can't find a valid FAT filesystem on dev 08:01.

I tried mounting it with auto:

mount -t auto /dev/sda1 usb

I get:

mount: you must specify the filesystem type

Nothing I do works. By the way, I use "usb" since I ran the command from the mnt directory.

Try, as root, performing "fdisk -l /dev/sda"... also, does dmesg show a new device (sda) when the Lyra is attached?

dmesg does show that a 64 MB (the size of the Lyra) is connected to sda when I connect the Lyra.

fdisk -l /dev/sda shows me that sda is in 4 partitions which are listed as (non-Linux).

4 partitions? That's pretty odd. Would you mind posting the full output?

Weird, now it displays nothing. I enter the command and it gives me nothing:

Code:
# fdisk -l /dev/sda
#
It worked this morning :S.

For some reason I have a feeling I'll never get this thing to work .

Check dmesg again. I assume the Lyra is properly plugged in, of course. Sometimes if a device is unplugged and replugged in, it will get a different device ID (/dev/sdb, perhaps).
