RAID Question
I have a question about my hard drive bios setup. I have one SATA hard drive with several partitions on it.
My question is, does having RAID on in the bios make any difference whilst I only have one drive in my system?
The options i have in my bios are:
1. RAID Autodetect / AHCI
2. RAID Autodetect / ATA
3. RAID On
4. SATA/PATA Combination
I need to choose the 4th option to get linux working properly, but not knowing much about RAID i would just like to know what performance difference choosing this option will make, if any?
Any ideas?
