Lightbulb raid question - 2 instances, dont crash if 1 hdd fail


I need hdd raid which:

- keeps data in 2 places accross raid
- dont interupt service if one hdd fails in raid

which raids are cheapest achieving this and recommended?

The wikipedia article explains the different RAID levels:

Choose one. You can either implement them through software or hardware, and the cost will vary GREATLY, depending on the hardware you choose. Since, again, you don't provide any details, we can't speculate on what's the cheapest way for you to do this, nor can we recommend one for you, since you don't explain what you're trying to accomplish and what your real goals are.
