Radeon 9500 in suse 8.2 pro

Hi, i have a readeon 9500 pro, and i'm running suse 8.2 pro and xfree86 4.3.0. Now, i found out that suse didn't include the proper drivers. I followed the instructions to the letter, but things like 3d rendering still don't work, can anyone help me get it working, thanks a lot, iggy.

Download the XFree86-4.3.0 firegl driver from schneider-digital, you'll have to rebuild the kernel module so make sure you have your kernel source installed and read the instructions contained in the package before you start.
I have a 9800 pro and it works perfectly with this driver.

Ditto to Aussie.

You can find my Member Success story for this I'm running an ATI Radeon 9000 pro card, and it works great with these drivers.

It's pretty straightforward, just make sure you have the sources for your kernel.

use "uname -r" to find out what kernel you're running, then head on to www.kernel.org and grab the source

rpm2tgz then copying all to the right place and compiling the module
I even got the grapical interface to work
but its complete shit

thanks im going to try schneider drivers aswell now..... because with the orriginal drivers after I kill my X my system crashes and I hope the schneider drivers are faster too
