Radeon 9000 pro - mandrake 9 - ever work?


Hi there
I get no gui after the mandrake 9 install. only prompt

I have tried many different setups in drakxconf. monitor/graphics card/resolution

-graphics card supported under generic radeon driver
-Monitor not supported (but customised with horizontal/vertical refreshes)

I get (EE) no device found on testing

and the same problem when typing in startx at prompt.

Thanks you for your support, if I get any

my spec:

p3 850
448 ram
ati radeon 9000 pro
sb live 1024 player
Hansol 920D

Have you tried the binary drivers directly from ATI? The hubub about them is mixed:

It might stop you and make you agree to an annoying license first...
