Question about support hardware

I am looking to setup a server using the Intel S875WP1-E board (Entry server board)

Intel has listed that the board has been tested with RH8.0 has been tested with RH 8.0

intel motherboard

Does this imply that it will work with RH 9.0

Thanks

You will most probably bump into more or less difficult problem getting SATA RAID to work, but other than that it should work pretty well. Since there are no drives that can single-handedly saturate a SATA interface (yet) I suggest you go with a board with regular IDE or SCSI RAID instead, if RAID is something you would like. Performance should be about the same, if not better, with regular IDE disks.
