PVR drive mounted to Ubuntu

Hi all- I've got a e2fs formatted PVR drive from a FAT receiver. The sat receivers file manager is terribly slow and cumbersome, so I thought I would just plug it into my Ubuntu machine.

The NTFS partition loads great in UBUNTU, but the linux partition(s?) do not automount and theres no label or UUID assigned either, so I cant even know how to mount it manually in fstab.

Any help greatly appreciated! Thanks

F

You can try the blkid command. #blkid /dev/sda1, for example, should spit out any label, UUID and filesystem information that is available on the sda1 partition. If there's no filesystem on the partition you won't get any output.

I would think that if there was a filesystem on those other partitions that Ubuntu would have automounted those also. Though that would depend on whether Ubuntu can mount the filesystem(s) or partition-type on the disk I guess.

PVR drives

After a lot of testing, I have gotten the UUID and such... The drive wont mount as it says the blocksizes are not known and not as defined for ext3 - lol... I dont know how to determine the blocksize? No documentation for this PVR setup... wild.
