PS/2 2-port KVM Data Switch killing my mouse

I recently purchased a PS/2 2-port KVM Data Switch for my FreeBSD 4.8 system and my Redhat 9.0 system and when I make the switch to Redhat from FreeBSD the mouse stops working on my Linux machine.... I don't know if my FreeBSD system does the same because I do not have X configured on it yet.... But How can I get this to not make the mouse stop working then I haft to restart X to get it to work again... Help?

Does your KVM Data Switch have the option of configuring for different types of mouse? If so, have you made sure the type you have set in the KVM switch is the same type as you have set in Linux?

There is no configuring from what I can see.... It's just a box with A and B and you switch between the two. No software No nothin.

I have a problem with KVM here at work, the voicemail server "loses" the mouse if it's plugged into the KVM switch. I can use it for a while, but if I go away and come back the mouse no longer works. This is on a Windows machine, but may be a similar problem. Never found a way round it unfortunately, I just have another mouse plugged directly into the voicemail machine now.
