When i power-on the external HDD nothing happens . I dont see anything in dmesg or /var/log/messages . I left the external HDD powered-on and tried to reboot but the kernel is not booting up , i see kernel panic message , probably when it is trying to scan through the SCSI devices . Any help would be greatly appreciated . Should i install any driver for accessing e-SATA devices ?
