Program to test a dvd burner.

Hi:
I'm in doubt whether my dvd burner is working properly. Do you know of a free of charge program to test it fully? Thanks in advance.

P.S.: Even if I have to compile it.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for. Copy and paste url into address bar and it will download a zip file called

The RAFABAMAD .iso

Got it from googling here

I don't get it

This program is for testing a DVD drive and we're being advised to BURN it onto a disk. How's that supposed to work as the drive being tested is more than likely the one that's doing the burning ?

I recommend just burn any iso and use 'cmp' on the iso and the device node. If they match it will say 'EOF on whatever.iso'.

Obviously one would burn the disk image with a known good drive on another system.
