Processor temperature information.


Hey all.

Where can I found my processors temperature information ?
Acpi -t shows nothing.

lm-sensors. It's non-trivial to set up unless there's a ready-made configuration file for your motherboard in which case it's easy.

BIOS, just in case...

Did you look at your BIOS for a post with a name resembling PC Health Status?

Thanks, I ran "sensors-detect" and added

its working now.

Do you believe the temperatures it is telling you? It's nice to have the CPU case temperature from the motherboard for comparison, if it's available. Some of the core temperatures need complex scaling, some are unreliable (AMDs of ~12 months ago).

It looks like its right info (45c - 55c) depending on load.
I have intel q9300 4 core processor and there is little difference between cores.
