probs in mounting rewritable cd


i have a RW cd
i wrote data on it from a Win XP machine using Nero
before writing data i had fully erased it (not a quick erase)
i wrote data on it
it is reading data on the win machine

when i brought the cd to my machine and did the foll

# mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom
no medium found

i got the above error


im using Slackware 10.1..........
what could be the error........
why isn't it reading data from the cd

I have a similar problem in Debian 3.1....
