Problems with external USB drive


tail /var/log/messages reveals the following:

sda:SCSI error : <5 0 0 0> return code = 0x8000002
Current sda: sense key No Sense
end_request: I/O eerror, dev sda, sector 39102336
Buffer I/O error on device sda, logical block 39102336

Attached scsi disk sda aat scsi5, channel 0, id 0, lun 0

I have FC2 (kernel 2.6.x)......would could the problem be?

Any suggestions?

Attached scsi disk sda aat scsi5, channel 0, id 0, lun 0

Try mounting it at sda1 to your mount directory, i.e.,
mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/pendrive

Hey guys sorry i forgot to repost....

I solved the problem by fdisk`ing in Linux to ext3....orginally i'd fdisk`ed ifrom DOs to Fat32.

After the change I've gotten no problems.
