Problems setting up lvm2 drive on ubuntu

Good day everyone. I use quite alot of lvm2 "spans" on diffrent distros, one of working ones is also ubuntu, but on this specific box i have some serious problems.

First lets take a look at my two drives i want to use in lvm2:

Drive 1 is:

Disk /dev/hdi: 407.8 GB, 407856087040 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 49585 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hdi1 1 49585 398291481 8e Linux LVM

and drive 2 is:

Disk /dev/hde: 800.1 GB, 800198492160 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 97285 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hde1 1 97285 781441731 83 Linux

Boath drives are raid drives (1 drive = 2x200GB second 2x400GB) , so probably its problem with that.

I have used fdisk on boath made new partition and formated it with ext3 file system. I also initialized drives for lvm2 (pvcreate /dev/hdi1 /dev/hde1), all went ok so far.

sudo pvcreate /dev/hdi1
Physical volume "/dev/hdi1" successfully created
sudo pvcreate /dev/hde1
Physical volume "/dev/hde1" successfully created

I want to create new volume group and add those two drives as a start to it:

sudo vgcreate data /dev/hdi1 /dev/hde1
No physical volume label read from /dev/hdi1
/dev/hdi1 not identified as an existing physical volume
Unable to add physical volume '/dev/hdi1' to volume group 'data'.

sudo vgcreate data /dev/hde1 /dev/hdi1
No physical volume label read from /dev/hde1
/dev/hde1 not identified as an existing physical volume
Unable to add physical volume '/dev/hde1' to volume group 'data'.

So you see boath drives make same error. And i am stuck here, and have no ideer what to do here. I formated drives few times with diffrent file systems, tried to recreate partitions on it, all with no sucess.

So i am stuck with the question what the heck is going on here, and what did i miss here ?

If you can help me out you get to heaven as god would say ;)

Thanx and good day.
