problems removing lvm volume group

I cannot seem to remove volume group from my Fedora 9 system.

As per the LVM howto I have run the following commands:

vgchange -a n VG66
lvremove /dev/VG66/LVROOT66
lvremove /dev/VG66/LVHOME66
vgremove VG66

When I reboot I get the following errors:
fsck.ext3: No such file or directory while trying to open /dev/VG66/LVROOT66
fsck.ext3: No such file or directory while trying to open /dev/VG66/LVHOME66

How can I remove this volume completely from my system?

I am running Fedora 9

Thanks in advance

resolved my issue

Booted from rescue CD

vgscan -P

removed any references to logical volumes from /etc/fstab.

All good.
