M-Systems (
www.m-sys.com) makes a flash memory chip.. DiskOnChip 2000 that I've been trying to install to my PCISYS-PIII board but I've been experiencing some problems.
To do a format with the tools that M-Systems provides to you (the tools are for DOS) you need to go into the bios and enable the DiskOnChip 2000 option. However, when I do this and try to boot up I get the following error:
Booting Red Hat Linux (2.4.21)
root (hd0,0)
Filesystem type is ext2fs, partition type 0x83
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.21 ro root=LABEL=/
[Linux-bzImage, setup=0x1400, size=0x11154a]
Error 28: Selected item cannot fit into memory
The system boots up normally if the DiskOnChip is disabled in the bios. Does anybody have a clue how to fix this? Any suggestions are welcome.
