Hi,

I have a machine - an IBM x205 - 2 x 36Gb 10K SCSI disks

Basically, I use Acronis to create images of both drives onto an external USB HDD.
I then restore those images onto an identical machine.

The new machine boots fine but, when I use the 'Disk Management' tool, none of the volumes show up.

Fdisk shows all the volumes as being ext3 and all are there.

Another little check - using kDiskFree tool - all volumes show up, have the right size etc. but the filesystem column shows them all as '?'

So far i've been able to create files, delete files etc.

I intent to clone 25 servers from one machine once the install is good, but this doesn't instill a whole lot of confidence.

Are the file systems OK? Are they buggered? Help....


I'll post the fstab when the current clone finishes
